someone without Disney’s fancy-ass resources, team of world-renowned pro-grade animators, and even the original model/files used to make the film was able to not only correct the error, but do it in a way that didn’t “interrupt the flow of the song” while also looking professional quality
AND THEY WEREN’T EVEN GETTING PAID FOR IT
Okay, I keep seeing this on my dash and I don’t understand and it’s driving me crazy. I don’t notice anything between the GIFs except you can see a bit more on the right one. I haven’t seen the movie, and I know nothing about art, GIFing, etc. But please dear god someone explain so I can stop staring at these GIFs ahhhh!!
I’m sort of sick of seeing stuff related to this pop up on my dash (the mistake is worth pointing out but then people try to defend it and UGHHHH), but the difference is that in the first gif (the one in the movie), her hair PHASES STRAIGHT THROUGH HER ARM.
In the second gif, someone fixed it (VERY WELL, I might add!) so that the hair responds to her arms presence and slides OVER it instead.
It’s a subtle difference, but the first one breaks physics and the second doesn’t. The person who fixed it did a GREAT job though, hot damn.
Sick of seeing shit about this too BUT that does look v. good so as someone who’s interested in the mechanics of animation I’m going to reblog this.
